Custom dentures that snap securely onto dental implants, designed to eliminate the slipping, shifting, and adhesive routine of conventional dentures.
Unlike conventional dentures that rest on the gums and rely on adhesive, implant-supported dentures are anchored to a small number of dental implants placed in the jawbone. The denture then snaps into place on the implants for reliable stability and retention.
Each appliance is custom-designed for the patient, which resolves the day-to-day frustrations that so many denture wearers know well, constant slipping, restricted diets, and nagging discomfort.
Implant-supported dentures are most often recommended for the lower arch, where conventional dentures tend to be least stable. Upper arches sometimes fit and function well without implants; that call is unique to each patient and made during your evaluation.
A denture anchored to implants behaves differently from one held in place with adhesive.
The denture snaps firmly onto attachments on the implants, giving you a stable, retentive bite that will not slip or shift during meals or conversations.
Because the implants do the work of retention, patients can move away from messy adhesives and the daily uncertainty that comes with them.
A stable base allows you to chew a wider variety of foods and speak with confidence, which often expands both diet and daily comfort.
Implant-supported dentures are a multi-visit process planned in partnership with your restorative dentist.
We review your medical and dental history, complete an extensive oral examination, and capture X-rays and any scans needed to confirm implant-supported dentures are an option for you.
A careful examination of the jawbone confirms it has the density and volume needed to support implants. Once specific sites are chosen, the plan is shared with your restorative dentist so they can begin planning the final prosthesis.
On the day of surgery, local anesthetic is administered to numb the site. The titanium implants are then placed into the jaw through a precise, minimally traumatic technique.
The implants need several months to integrate with the alveolar bone. During this time, most patients wear a temporary denture fabricated by their general dentist so daily function is preserved.
Once the implants have fully integrated, abutments are added to reach the gum surface. Your restorative dentist then fabricates the final implant-supported denture that snaps securely onto the attachments.

Consistent home care matters. Clean the appliance, the artificial teeth, the gum tissue, and the attachments every day to keep the system healthy.
Schedule preventive visits every six months with your dentist. Professional cleanings, checkups, and periodic X-rays help catch issues early and confirm that the denture, attachments, and implants remain in the correct position.
With proper hygiene and routine follow-up, an implant-supported denture offers a stable, long-term solution that is meaningfully more functional than a conventional appliance.
