PATIENT INFORMATION

Your First Appointment

Here's what to expect on your first visit so you can arrive prepared and comfortable.

Getting Ready

Preparing for Your Visit

Your first appointment is designed to help us understand your health history, your concerns, and the clinical findings that matter most. We prefer to have enough time to do this well, so we set aside a longer block for a first visit than a routine appointment.

What to bring

What happens during the visit

We start with a conversation about what brought you in and any history that shapes the plan. From there we complete a periodontal evaluation, which will include measurements around each tooth, an oral cancer screening, and three dimensional imaging to gain a comprehensive picture of your mouth/oral health.

Once we know what we are looking at, we will dedicate time to explain our findings, provide treatment options, and give honest guidance on what we would recommend and why. At that point, we will then work with your schedule to begin treatment when it is most convenient for you.

After you leave

You will get a summary of findings and next steps you can share with your general dentist. If you have questions between visits, our team is available during business hours.
